Qatar Airways is planning to launch direct services between Malta and Doha from June 4, 2019. The airline made the announcement on April 30. Qatar Airways is rapidly expanding its network in the European Union and this new announcement is a part of its plan.
According to reports, the new flight will operate daily during the summer and four days a week in winters. The route will be served by an A320 aircraft.
The airline has also launched a new website – www.qatarairways.mt – to provide services like online booking and finding the appropriate flight. The website will enable the customers in choosing the departure and arrival dates along with suitable fares without having to spend a lot of time.
“We are very much looking forward to the launch of the direct services from Malta, one of Europe’s architectural gems and a key new addition to our European network. The new route will provide both business and leisure passengers travelling from Malta access to Qatar Airways’ extensive global route network,” Mate Hoffmann, Qatar Airways Country Manager for Italy and Malta, was quoted as saying by Independent.
This new flight will help the passengers travelling to Malta from different parts of the country as it will connect the island country with the world through the vast network of Qatar Airways. The Maltese government has taken various steps to give a boost to tourism in Malta by improving its connectivity with the world.
